He returned to the Rams in 1954 and kicked one field goal and two extra points. His season ended in early October as he suffered a compound leg fracture vs. the 49ers. He recuperated in 1955, coaching ends for Dan Devine at Arizona State. He returned to the Rams in 1956 where he made 5 catches for 56 yards in 7 games playing for the legendary Sid Gillman."
